Join our Board of Directors

We are looking for Directors who are willing to actively manage the organization by rolling up their sleeves and helping with a range of administrative tasks. From fundraising to advocacy support, our Directors lend their expertise and their network to help VIHRC grow and develop.

Call for Directors: Accounting Background

Currently, VIHRC is looking for an individual with a background in accounting to chair our Finance Committee. Experience in budgeting and preparing financial statements is an asset.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and monitoring the administration of day-to-day financial operations, revenues, and expenditures

  • Ensuring development and board review of financial policies and procedures

  • Developing and maintaining the financial reports

  • Overseeing the filing of local and federal taxes

  • Overseeing the reconciliation of financial statements and various banks

  • Conducting internal audits and preparing reports

  • Giving regular reports to the Board on the organization’s financial health and stability

New Volunteering Role: Human Rights Advocates
