Black History Month 2021

To mark Black History Month, VIHRC presents 4 interviews with members of the BIPOC community. In each conversation, guests share and discuss their perspectives on the common themes and truly unique identities that shape the experiences of the BIPOC community. VIHRC’s Pamphinette Buisa interviews Dre Gutierrez Reyes, Summer Okibe, and Dr Ireh Iyioha, and in the final video, VIHRC’s Sareh Shojaei interviews Dr Moussa Magassa.    

We would like to acknowledge that the lands on which the Vancouver Island Human Rights Coalition office is located, are the traditional territorial lands of the Lkwungen peoples (Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations).
