In this podcast series, hosts Lauren Dinwoodie and Nico Rullmann introduce listeners to the BC Human Rights Code and, more specifically, how it works to protect individuals against racial discrimination. Drawing upon case law, the podcasts demonstrate how the protected characteristics of race, colour, ancestry, and country of origin have been used separately or in combination to successfully prove racial discrimination in front of the BC Human Rights Tribunal. The final episode investigates how race-based characteristics intersect with other characteristics protected by the BC Human Rights Code.
